The Union Cabinet has approved the recommendation of the Committee of Secretaries (CoS) and has allowed telcos a two-year moratorium on spectrum-related dues which translates into Rs 42,000 crore financial support to the stressed sector. The development comes as a big relief to the telcos, including Airtel, Vodafone and Jio.
